On October 13, 2025, I was directed through a link obtained from an account on X to join a group called Fortune Hunter, led by Colin Purdie, an employee of Manulife. According to his claims, he would lead the group to achieve outstanding returns in stock market and cryptocurrency operations.

Initially, Mr. Purdie limited his activity to making investment recommendations in stocks. Later, however, he began recommending operations on the UNINZ platform, hosted on BASE. The narrative focused on the launch by Fidelity Investments of new tokens (IDOs) intended to integrate blockchain technology into Fidelity’s financial services. The tokens mentioned are AICP, SOLS, AIM, and WPG. According to Colin, the tokens would reach appreciations between 100% and 300%, as shown in the UNINZ app hosted on BASE. However, these numbers are fabricated.

I participated in these operations by placing funds into an account they instructed me to open on UNINZ. In total, I deposited USD 68,310 into that account and bought and sold the tokens on their platform, where they are not available anywhere else. I had not attempted to withdraw funds, hoping instead to obtain greater profits. This week, I placed a withdrawal request, but they refused to process it. My funds are frozen unless I deposit an additional USD 30,000, allegedly to authenticate my real ID. Although the funds still appear in the account, I have no access to them. They are effectively gone.

I did not initially doubt the authenticity of the project, as Colin Purdie appeared to have strong market knowledge and his investment recommendations seemed accurate. However, doubts arose after I searched for information about the tokens online. After consulting with an artificial intelligence system, I was informed that the entire setup follows the pattern of a scheme designed to steal funds from unsuspecting investors. Today, all members were instructed to leave the original WhatsApp group and join a new one. It is highly likely that Colin Purdie, Manulife’s CFO, is being impersonated by the scammer.

I do not know how many more people may be defrauded. The group has around 150 members, many with phone numbers from the United States, although some appear to be linked to the scheme or to be duplicate profiles. Nevertheless, many real participants have deposited funds. Beware: UNINZ is a scammer’s dApp hosted on BASE.
