How we use your data

Gridinsoft.com (Gridinsoft, LLC) processes data to operate this website, provide online analysis, manage accounts and licenses, and support Gridinsoft Anti-Malware. Website visits, application diagnostics, and material you submit are separate data flows. This page explains their purposes and available choices; our Privacy Policy provides additional details.

Website visits

Website requests generate server logs that may include your IP address, browser information, requested page, referrer, and request time. We also use Google Analytics, advertising attribution, and Google AdSense on selected reports. See the provider descriptions below and our advertising cookies disclosure for details and choices.

Accounts and licenses

• Your email address is used to create a unique identifier for your account when you sign up. It is also used to inform you of important updates relating to Gridinsoft Anti-Malware and your account.
• Your password (encrypted), IP address, and sign in history are saved to allow you sign in from different locations and to be able to ensure the security of your account.
• Your upgrade and payment history is saved in order to provide invoices and to be able to account. Your credit card information is not stored on our servers, but is stored by our third party payment providers PayPro and 2CheckOut and accessed by a unique token associated with your account.
• Your email address will also be stored even if you do not have an account. This is done to connect your copy of software to the license key you received and is not used for marketing or other purposes.

Application diagnostics and support

Gridinsoft Anti-Malware keeps scan logs in the application. Optional scan statistics are sent for analysis when the statistics option in the application settings is enabled. You may also choose to send logs or files to Support to investigate a problem. These diagnostic submissions are separate from website analytics and online scanner uploads.

Online file scans and website reports

When you select a file for an online scan, its contents are processed to produce an analysis report. The uploaded file itself is not retained or shared with third parties. The website stores the returned analysis report and a record containing the file hash, file name, file type, detection result, submission time, and submitting IP address. These stored records are distinct from the uploaded file itself.

File names, hashes, technical metadata, and analysis results may appear in public reports and recent-report listings. Submitted websites and their reputation reports may also be public. Do not submit confidential documents, proprietary files, passwords, or URLs containing access tokens through these public tools. Contact [email protected] before submitting confidential material to establish the appropriate handling terms.

Website analytics and advertising are separate from the content you submit for analysis, but may operate on pages where reports are viewed. The visibility of report information is described in Terms of Use, section 7. For questions about retention, recipients, or deletion of a particular submission, contact Support with the report URL or file hash; do not attach the confidential file to the initial request.

Accessing or deleting your data

• You have the right to request we furnish you all the information we store about you and to request that this information be deleted, whereupon Gridinsoft, LLC will make every effort to delete all relevant information relating to your account, except where we are required by law to save information about you (for example for accounting purposes).
• Requests for deletion of your account and associated data can be made by emailing [email protected] where we will delete the requested information and confirm with you that this action has been taken.
• Gridinsoft, LLC has policies in place to delete old and no longer relevant data it stores about our users in a timely fashion.
