am submitting this complaint to formally report what I believe to be deceptive and potentially fraudulent business practices that resulted in a financial loss of $395.00. I entered into a transaction with this company based on representations that a specific product would be provided for an agreed-upon price. After I made the initial payment, however, the company continued to demand additional fees that were not clearly disclosed or agreed upon at the beginning of the transaction. These additional charges caused me serious concern because they were inconsistent with what I understood the original agreement to be. I ultimately refused to continue making additional payments and requested a refund of the $395.00 I had already paid. Rather than resolving my refund request, I was informed that the company’s attorneys or legal representatives would become involved. I found this response concerning, particularly because I was simply requesting the return of money I had paid after the transaction did not proceed according to the terms originally represented to me. I subsequently informed the company that I intended to report the matter to the Federal Trade Commission and other appropriate consumer-protection authorities. I believe I was induced to make this payment through misleading representations regarding the actual cost and terms of the transaction. Had the additional fees and requirements been fully and accurately disclosed before I submitted payment, I would not have agreed to the transaction or provided the $395.00. I respectfully request that the Federal Trade Commission review this matter and determine whether this company’s conduct constitutes deceptive, unfair, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful business practices. I am also concerned that other consumers may have experienced, or could experience, similar conduct. I am prepared to provide documentation supporting my complaint, including payment records, receipts, correspondence, text messages, emails, advertisements, invoices, and any other communications demonstrating the original representations, subsequent demands for additional money, my request for a refund, and the company’s response. I am requesting the return of my $395.00 and ask that the appropriate authorities investigate this matter and take whatever enforcement action is warranted by the evidence and applicable law.
