Typical fraud flow: social proof first, wallet connect second, irreversible transfer last. Once funds move on-chain, recovery is usually unlikely.
Never share seed phrases, never approve unknown wallet permissions, and verify project details from official channels before funding.

I opened an account on Geekscoin a couple months ago by the instruction of a group on Telegram. They said it is the only place to buy the coin that they were promoting, it is a pump group. so I opened the account, added USDT to it bought the coin that was being promoted ahead of time as instructed. well the pump happened the promoter published what price to sell at and great I made $600.00 so I thought. well I tried to withdraw my money from the site and couldn't. apparently in order to withdraw you have to become a platinum member and in order to do that you have to deposit an more money into your account. I knew something wasn't right about that so I contacted the support they assured me that it was just part of the verification process and I would get it back, it is in section 12 of the terms of use they said. yeah ok I read that and it does not say anything about a specific amount just says equivalent amount, I tried to ask more questions but after the first interaction with the support chat I couldn't get anyone to answer me. I did not give them more money or deposit more money into my account on the site, and I do not intend to. I have tried to reach out to the support on the Telegram channel but he is ignoring me now as well. good thing I am only out $100.00 and I am reporting him to Telegram and getting all his ads pulled as well as kicked off telegram. no telling how many people he has scammed out of money.
