We reviewed files-edit.com and found a mix of positive and cautionary signals. The site does not currently look like a confirmed scam, but the evidence is not strong enough to treat it as fully established either. The current trust score is 49/100. Key signals include negative customer reviews, recent domain registration, and external redirect behavior. We also saw reputation caution signals from third-party review sources, so commercial claims should still be checked independently. Verify key details and recent independent feedback before relying on this site for important actions.

FAQ
Is files-edit.com safe?
Current analysis does not clearly confirm that files-edit.com is safe. Important context includes negative customer reviews and recent domain registration. Independent verification is still recommended before relying on it.
Why does files-edit.com have mixed reputation signals?
Key factors include registrar information (NameCheap, Inc.), hosting in US, a relatively new domain (12 months), and content related to software products and downloads; adult material. Major malware and phishing engines did not report active blacklist detections at the time of review, but reputation-related warning signals were still present. The trust score blends security detections, domain and infrastructure signals, on-page behavior patterns, and public review history when available. The overall assessment remains mixed because third-party reputation sources do not point to a fully consistent trust profile.

This site is a scam. Don't use it. I edited a PDF and paid $11.95 and a week later they billed my credit card another $49.95. Thankfully, my credit card company flagged the transaction locked my account. They are issuing me an entirely new credit card, which is inconvenient, but it is better than allowing the crooks at Files-Edit.com to continue stealing my money. These people should be put in jail...forever.

I used this website once, selecting the option for 3 days' use for $1.95 to edit a site map of my home. I had no indication that they were going to charge me for ongoing use, or that I had to do anything to avoid being so charged. My credit card was hit for $49.95 plus $1.00 plus $0.95. I guess I have to go to my bank to refute the charge, because I can't seem to find a site for Files-edit, only Files-editor. I don't know whether they're the same or not. All my searches go to Files-editor, which may be a legit company.
