Crispwaterfilter.com Suspicious Website

They did a "damn good job" of making their site look and function as legit, expect for when it actually comes to paying for the products I had put in the shopping cart. That's when I finally realized this was a scam as my couple of attempts to pay with a credit card went sideways. After backing out of there I went to my credit card account and sure enough there was a charge made to some dress shop in Hong Kong. I immediately disputed the charge with my c.c. company and will have to wait a couple of days to see if my dispute is successful in reversing this charge. The data base for parts inventory this scam site created was highly functional in that I could search for the list of water filters I needed and was initially very excited and drawn in by their extremely low prices for the same make and model of parts offered by other plumbing supply houses. "Too good to be true" prices echoed in the back of my mind while I was filling my cart but I ignored that message and went so far as to try and place an order, bad choice! During my search for the water filters needed for my house I also came across two other sites which also advertised "too good to be true" pricing. Those sites are hosejoin.com and bestwatersfilters.com and they looked very similar to crispwaterfilter. I searched their inventories for the all the filters I needed but ultimately and foolishly went to crispwater because they pretended to have every part I required. I fortunately never went far enough with the other two sites as to submit my personal or payment info only because they couldn't provide all the parts I needed. Hell, I should have listened to the voice in the back of my head and from now on I will have to run a review on every site I visit before submitting payment info. Now I'm going into my browser to scrub any and all cookies left behind by these crooks.
