Tryrestova.com Reputation Check

1 star — My experience did not match the claims on the website I purchased the Restova Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece for AU$59.95 after reading the product information on the Restova website. A major reason I purchased it was the company's specific statement that it works for mouth breathers, as well as its promise that customers could wear and test the mouthpiece and receive a refund if it did not work. My husband is a mouth breather. He genuinely tried the mouthpiece for several nights and followed the positioning instructions provided by Restova customer service. Unfortunately, it repeatedly came loose and would not remain securely in place during sleep. We were also concerned about the potential safety risk of a mouthpiece repeatedly coming loose during sleep. I contacted Restova and explained the problem. They initially asked us to try again with different positioning, which we did. When that still didn't work, they agreed that the product could be returned. However, I was told that I would have to pay international return shipping, customs charges and duties myself. Restova would not provide a prepaid return label or cover the return shipping. I was offered a 20% refund of just AU$12 instead, while keeping the mouthpiece. What I found particularly disappointing was that Restova characterised the problem as a “fit and adjustment issue”, despite specifically advertising the product as suitable for mouth breathers. I ultimately accepted the AU$12 refund because I decided that paying potentially significant international return costs and spending more time dealing with the matter wasn't worth it. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that potential customers read the refund policy very carefully before purchasing, particularly the sections concerning return postage and discounted products. Also keep screenshots of the product claims and guarantees at the time you purchase. This was not the experience I expected from a product advertised with a money-back guarantee.
