This website is a scam. I originally used PersoLabs because it stated that I only needed to pay $1.25 for a report/test result. I was not aware that I was agreeing to a recurring subscription. After the initial payment, I was later charged approximately $40 automatically for a subscription that I did not knowingly agree to. What concerns me even more is the receipt I received after the initial payment. The receipt presented the payment as being for the test/report itself and did not make it clear to me that I had supposedly agreed to an automatic recurring subscription. I contacted PersoLabs immediately after discovering the charge and explained the situation. However, the response I received appeared to be a automated response, simply referring me to their refund policy rather than addressing my specific concerns about how the subscription was disclosed. I have contacted my bank to ask about disputing the transaction.

SCAM ALERT: Hidden Subscription via Dark Patterns! This website is a total scam. I paid for a single personality test, but they used deceitful visual tricks ("dark patterns") to secretly opt me into a parallel monthly subscription called "Persolabs AI" for โฌ29.95 without my clear, explicit, and separate consent. When you try to cancel the main subscription, they hide the second one so they can keep stealing your money. They are violating FTC regulations regarding negative option billing. I have already disputed the charge with my bank and reported them to Stripe for fraudulent merchant activity. Stay away from this fraudulent site!

Better Business Bureau Complaint Complaint Type Deceptive Billing Practices / Unauthorized Charges Problem Description On 7/24/26, I purchased an online personality test advertised for $1.99. On the day of the initial transaction, my account was split-charged multiple small amounts ($1.00, $0.50, and $0.50) totaling the advertised purchase price. However, during checkout, the company automatically enrolled me in a recurring membership without explicit consent or clear disclosure. I was automatically logged into their platform upon purchase, which the business later claimed constituted "accessing digital content." On 7/27/26 they charged my card $39.95. When I noticed the pending subscription charges, I immediately contacted their support team to cancel and request a refund. The company (Persolabs) refused, citing two deceptive policies: Hidden Terms: They claim recurring terms were agreed to at checkout and noted on the receipt sent after the purchase was completed. Deceptive Refund Catch-22: Their policy states a 14-day refund window only applies if "no digital content has been accessed." However, their platform automatically logs users in and grants access immediately upon purchase, thereby instantly waiving the customer's right to a refund before they even realize a subscription was created.

Scammy hidden subscription and fees. Why charge to access and then immediately charge a subscription I didn't or ask for?
