The short answer is that the three people I worked with to edit and publish through KDP made several major mistakes with the former and ripped me off over an "extra" charge they said came from Amazon, which Amazon credibly denies. After numerous exchanges over this and other issues, they simply stopped replying to my calls and emails. Although they insist they are based in New York, I'm certain they're based overseas and, despite their promises that they use human resources, I also believe that they use generic AI. Thousands of dollars wasted.
